The Rt Hon The Lord Bridge was
educated at Malborough College and from 1935 1939 was a Journalist.
January 1940 to April 1946: Army
service. Commissioned May 1941, Kings Royal Rifle Corps. Transferred to
GHQ Liaison Regiment and served in Italy (1943) and North-West Europe (June
1944 to end of war in Europe). From December 1944 to May 1945 serve as British
liaison officer with United States 7th Army. Awarded United States
Bronze Star.
