Claude is a mediator and arbitrator with ADR Chambers.
He specializes in the resolution of complex commercial disputes, particularly relating to banking, securities, aeronautics, corporate governance, construction and professional responsibilities.
He has chaired and acted as sole arbitrator in a number of domestic and international arbitrations. He has served in proceedings administered by the London Court of International Arbitration, the International Chamber of Commerce and the American Arbitration Association. He has acted as mediator in the resolution of numerous business disputes in Canada.
Prior to becoming an ADR professional, Claude practiced for many years as a senior litigator and partner with Fasken Martineau. He served as Chairman of the firm and for many years was active on the firm's Conflict's Committee.
He is a past president of both the Canadian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
Claude was described in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory 2007 as one of the most frequently recommended arbitration practitioners in Ontario. He was described in the 2004 Global Counsel Dispute Resolution Handbook as an "international commercial arbitration specialist, with expertise as chairman of complex proceedings dealing with aggressively contested disputes especially in the aeronautics and securities field".
Claude is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
